Try the virtual devices

ThoxMini is one of the four devices you can pick. Register with your email, choose a device, and talk to ThoxOS in your browser. Ask for a job the device cannot hold on its own and MeshStack places it on a peer that has room — the data stays inside the mesh.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What Is ThoxMini Designed to Do?

ThoxMini is a compact, dedicated THOX device for supported local AI workflows at your desk or on the move. ThoxOS provides the device workspace; the available tasks depend on the device software and models you use.

  • How Is ThoxMini Different from ThoxKey?

ThoxKey stores the runtime and models on a drive while a connected computer supplies the processing power. ThoxMini is designed to run supported AI workflows on the THOX device itself. Choose by where you want the work to run and the tasks supported by each release.

  • Do I Need a Dedicated App to Use ThoxMini?

No. You can use ThoxMini through ThoxOS Web in a compatible browser on your phone, tablet, or computer now. Dedicated iOS and Android apps are coming soon, but you can use the web experience without waiting for them.

  • Can ThoxMini Run Any AI Model?

No. A model needs to fit the device's available memory and be supported by its runtime. Model size, input types, and response speed depend on the particular model and device release. Check compatibility for your intended task before choosing a model.

  • Can I Use ThoxMini Offline?

Supported local tasks can run offline when the required software, model, and files are already on the device. Tasks that use online services or another device need the appropriate connection. The virtual ThoxMini demo is an online preview.

  • Do I Need MeshStack to Use ThoxMini?

MeshStack is optional for supported local tasks. Use it when you want ThoxMini to connect with other compatible devices and use resources you authorize. Connecting a device does not automatically give it access to your files or permission to act.

  • Which Kickstarter Kits Include ThoxMini?

The Developer Kit includes ThoxKey, ThoxAir, and ThoxMini. The Founders Kit includes those three devices plus ThoxClip. ThoxMini is also a single-device campaign option. Prices and estimated delivery windows will be published with the Kickstarter rewards.

  • Are the ThoxMini Images Renders?

Yes. The product images on this page are renders illustrating the ThoxMini design. Final appearance and manufacturing details may change as development and production progress.
